On July 16, 2001, Tohoku Intelligent Telecommunication Co., Inc. (TOHKnet) disclosed technical documents concerning its High Speed Ethernet Network Service (temporary name) and its High Speed Ethernet Leased Line Service (temporary name), as the company starts the service in August 2001.
TOHKnet also disclosed technical document on its Type I TOHKnet Computer Network Service (TOCN) as the company added new items to the service in the same month.
