ECOSS, Oki Collaborate In e-Commerce System Field
ECOSS Inc., a top provider of e-commerce site construction services, has inked
a partnership agreement with Oki Electric Industry Co., Ltd. concerning systems
integration (SI). In February this year, IBM Japan, Ltd. -- which since 1999
has been focusing on the software side of the computer business, according to
Mr. Kenji Maruo (a high-tech writer who worked on a book from Nikkei BP in early
2000) -- had decided to invest in ECOSS, apparently in recognition of the Tokyo-based
company's strength in the e-commerce field.
Starting from April 25, the two started providing an "integrated e-commerce
site solution" that will enable the construction of highly reliable and
expandable e-commerce sites based on the latest web technology for the Japanese
market. By using "ECOSS Solutions Enterprise 2.0 (ESE)," a software
product that builds e-commerce sites in accordance with Japanese business customs
and regulations, the solution offers higher security settlement and enables
the prompt construction of an e-commerce system that coordinates with the Internet
in realtime.
