Nitsuko to use DECT standard through tie-up with German company

Japanese telephone system supplier Nitsuko has reached a technical tie-up agreement with Deutsche Telephonwerke Akteingesellschaft & Co. (DTA), headquartered in Berlin, to enable development based on the Digital European Cordless Telecommunication (DECT) standard.
The agreement with standard-bearer DTA will enable the Tokyo-based telecommunications equipment manufacturer to produce a DECT key telephone system. Marketing by Nitsuko for the digital phone equipment will target all sectors, from SOHOs to firms using 500-port class systems.
Nitsuko has two subsidiaries in Europe, Nitsuko UK Limited on the British isles and Nitsuko (Europe) GmbH located on the Continent, that will begin marketing this systgem in the European market starting next January.
